G² Ed Consulting helps colleges and universities strengthen the systems that make effective leadership possible. Our work is grounded in the frameworks developed in Metrics, Mapping, and Modeling for Masterful Management in Higher Education (Emerald Publishing, 2025), a book shaped by decades of experience across diverse institutions and by extensive interviews with higher-education leaders and managers whose insights informed its models and methods. Together, these perspectives reveal how decisions, information, and culture interact to influence institutional performance.

Our founder, Dr. Graham Glynn↗, has served in senior leadership roles across six diverse institutions, including Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. His work in academic affairs, strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, assessment, and organizational management directly informs the frameworks used in our consulting practice. Mission

Our mission is to strengthen the capacity of colleges and universities to make coherent, mission-aligned decisions by improving their knowledge infrastructure, decision culture, and organizational systems. We support institutions through evidence-driven planning, assessment, and operational design, while fostering interinstitutional resource and knowledge sharing, administrator networking, and mutual support across the higher-education sector.

Vision

We envision a higher-education ecosystem where institutions are connected through shared knowledge, collaborative practice, and supportive professional networks; where leaders make transparent, data-informed, mission-aligned decisions; and where campuses thrive through coherent strategy, integrative planning, and a culture that values partnership, learning, and continuous improvement.

Our Approach

We focus on building clarity, coherence, and confidence across academic and administrative units. That includes improving knowledge infrastructure, aligning decisions with mission, designing integrated planning and assessment systems, and supporting the operational practices that allow people to do their best work. Our approach blends research-based insight with practical, hands-on implementation, ensuring that strategy is not only designed well but executed well.

A central part of our work is strengthening the connective tissue of higher education. Institutions thrive when they learn from one another, share resources, and participate in supportive networks of peers facing similar challenges. Through initiatives like the HELLO Community↗, we help administrators build relationships, exchange practical knowledge, reduce duplication of effort, and access a growing library of sector-wide resources. This collaborative dimension ensures that improvements on one campus can benefit many.
